WebAbstract A screen for natural products bearing pharmacological properties has yielded a secretion of the mollusk Cryptomphalus aspersa (SCA), which possesses skin-regenerative properties. In this report, we outline some of the cellular and molecular effects underlying this observation. WebThe TH-SCA secretion is completely active when obtained using the in vivo method, without using chemical additives or harming the animal. The TH-SCA secretion contains the basic cellular nutrients: metabolic substances, lipids and total proteins (groups I, II and III), which are absent in the slime.
